1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account and use Tradezona, we collect:
- Account Information: Your email address, display name, and password. Passwords are stored as a secure hash. We never store your plain-text password.
- Profile Information: Trading experience level, preferred instruments, country, timezone, and account currency that you enter during onboarding or in Settings.
- Trade Data: Trade entries you log, including symbol, entry and exit prices, position size, profit and loss, emotional state, notes, and any screenshots you upload.
- Voice Recordings: Audio you record using the Voice Trade Logger is transcribed and then immediately discarded. We do not store raw audio files.
- Community Content: Messages and posts you share in public rooms or direct messages with other traders.
- Ideas and Suggestions: Feature requests and feedback you submit through the Ideas section.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your credit card number.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our Service, we automatically collect:
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, clicks, and navigation patterns.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, referring URLs, and error logs.
- Cookies and Local Storage: Session tokens, user preferences such as your selected account and calculator settings, and authentication state.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
- Alpha Vantage: We fetch publicly available market news and price data to power the Ask the Market feature. No personal data is shared with Alpha Vantage.
- TradingView: Our embedded charts and ticker widgets are provided by TradingView and are subject to their own privacy policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and Improve the Service
- Authenticate your identity and maintain your session
- Store and display your trade journal, analytics, and performance data
- Generate AI-powered coaching reviews and pattern detection insights
- Calculate position sizes, drawdown, and other performance metrics
- Provide real-time market data and analysis
AI Processing
Your trade data, including symbols, prices, emotional states, and notes, is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalized coaching reviews, pattern detection, and market insights. This processing is done on your behalf. We do not use your personal trade data to train AI models. Anthropic's data usage policies apply to data processed through their API.
Communication
- Send account-related notifications including password resets and security alerts
- Send daily coaching review emails if you enable that feature
- Respond to your support requests
Analytics and Performance
- Monitor platform performance and fix bugs
- Understand how features are used so we can improve the product
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Legal Compliance
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Enforce our Terms of Service
- Protect the rights and safety of our users
4. Data Storage and Security
Where Your Data is Stored
Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase uses AWS data centers, and your data may be stored in the United States or European Union depending on your region.
How We Protect Your Data
- All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We never store plain-text passwords
- Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS), so you can only access your own data
- API keys and secrets are stored server-side only and never exposed to browsers
- File uploads are stored in access-controlled Supabase Storage buckets
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with applicable law.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
- Account Data: Retained until you delete your account
- Trade Data: Retained until you delete individual trades or your account
- Direct Messages: Retained until either party deletes them or their account
- Community Messages: Retained until you delete them or your account
- Log Data: Automatically deleted after 90 days
- Backups: Database backups may retain data for up to 30 days after deletion
When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through your Settings page.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data through Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. This permanently removes all your trades, reviews, and personal information.
- Data Portability: Export your trade data as CSV at any time using the Export feature in the Trades page.
- Opt-Out of Email: Disable email notifications in Settings under Notifications.
- Cookie Control: You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect certain functionality.
GDPR Rights (EU/EEA Users)
If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to object to processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
CCPA Rights (California Users)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

8. Children's Privacy
Tradezona is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@tradezona.com so we can delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our service infrastructure is located. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
For EU/EEA users, data transfers to the United States are conducted under appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites such as TradingView and broker platforms, and integrations with external data providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any personal information with them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- Sending an email notification to your registered email address
- Displaying a prominent notice on our website or within the app
- Updating the Last Updated date at the top of this page
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
